The Best Inflatable Paddle Board for Any Purpose
The question people ask me a lot is of course what the best inflatable paddle board is for this year to carry along easily for trips or holidays that is also very stable and suits its purpose.
As with previous guides I am not only focusing on the best inflatable paddle board by quality overall, but the best value for money. As most readers appreciate good value (and I sure know I do!) boards should also be affordable, otherwise nobody would be able to purchase them and I would be writing a really long guide with no purpose!
For this reason I have written this guide, which is focused on the best inflatable paddle board in each specific type.
If you are completely new to Stand Up Paddle boarding and have no idea what you are looking for, read “Important factors when choosing a Stand Up Paddle Board”
Of course you can use an all-around inflatable paddle board if you want it for multiple purposes. To be fair most things can be done on an all-around board (hence the name), but these things can be done better on a specific board aimed at this purpose.
For this reason I have created a top selection of boards for the next types of best inflatable paddle boards:
Note: I have made this guide for adults, or at least teenagers. Read about the best inflatable paddle boards for kids here.

All-Around Paddle Board
All-Around paddle boards are, as the name says, suitable for many purposes. This mostly includes relaxing paddling, (smaller) tours and SUP Yoga. Again: there are better boards for touring and SUP Yoga, but an All-Around board will do just fine for this.
“But Tom, isn’t every paddle board an all-around paddle board if I really want it to be?” Sure, you could do Yoga on your racing board, but as stability is lower because of the shape I would not recommend it for SUP Yoga. If you really want to I cannot stop you though π
So without further ado, here are the all-around 3 best inflatable paddle boards for this year.
Top 3 of all-around best inflatable paddle boards

Bluefin Cruise 10’8″
The Bluefin Cruise is an amazing inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board that offers very high quality and complete package that even includes a 2-in-1 fiberglass paddle and a kayak seat, so you can even sit down when Stand Up Paddling. This one definitely deserves the title “best inflatable paddle board.”
The size of this board is 10’8″ x 32.9″ x 6.3β, with a weight of 24.9 lbs / 11.3 kg and a carrying capacity of 287 lbs. / 130 kg. (which seems very underestimated, it can surely take more!)
The stability is very high because of the extra width and thickness, which in combination with the awesome package makes this the best all-round inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board. For the price of $549 this board offers such a complete package which you can enjoy for a long time.
A very high quality lightweight fiberglass paddle is included, a coiled leash, a great backpack, a repair kit and as mentioned before a kayak seat. The board itself has a very comfortable and effective croco-diamond deckpad and kick pad so you will not lose grip any time soon and it is pretty easy to make turns.
On top of all this Bluefin offers an incredible 5 year warranty on their boards, which shows that they have a lot of faith in the high quality of their products. Talk about the best inflatable paddle board!
So all in all, the Bluefin Cruise wins it because of the (over)completeness of the package. Both the board and every single accessory are amazing, which makes this the best inflatable paddle board for all-round purposes.
You can read my in-depth review about this Stand Up Paddle board here. Oh and now that I have your attention, watch my review video here so you can see exactly what you’re getting with this beast of a board π€©
On Amazon, this board performs astonishingly when it comes to reviews, so it’s really the best inflatable paddle board. Out of all the online reviews 90% of customers that bought this item gave it a 4 or 5 star rating! (Based on 750 ratings as of 4th of May 2024)
Bluefin Cruise Carbon 10’8“

The Bluefin Cruise Carbon 10’8″ is an amazing board, as I already have mentioned in my extended review of this Stand Up Paddle Board.
Not much of a surprise as Bluefin offers an amazing collection, the brand is a guarantee for a high quality product.
The board weighs 33 lbs / 15 kg because of the heavy carbon material and the carbon rails that are used. These make it hard as a rock and nearly unbreakable while also reducing the weight by 20%!
It is a shame really that Bluefin does not sell this amazing pump separately, which is the only reason why I could not include it in my article about the best SUP pumps. The coiled leash is also great, as most companies offer a plain leach.
The Bluefin Cruise Carbon 10’8″ also does great because of the complete package. The board and the accessories are great, but the price is quite a bit higher to the normal Bluefin Cruise. The Cruise Carbon is better overall, but the Bluefin Cruise wins the comparison on the price quality ratio.
The stability is so high that it makes this the best inflatable paddle board. What is so great about the package is the 2-piece carbon paddle with an ergonomic shaft that also justifies the higher price.
As said the downside of this board is the higher price (around $799), but if you are looking purely for a budget inflatable paddle board you could read my “Best Cheap Paddle Boards for under $350 guide“.
Goosehill Sport

The Goosehill Paddle Board offers a lot of nice things for a low price which makes it great for beginners.
I have tried out this board and there are a lot of positive aspects about this board. Taking into account that it has a low purchase price in the range of the Aqua Marina Fusion and Vapor and it also offers a complete package you canβt really go wrong here.
Besides the board, this pack also has a paddle, pump, backpack, leash, fin and repair kit included in the package. This makes it very complete for this low purchase price. In the review below I will take a closer look at the board and its performance, the accessories, and I will also take into account other reviews of this board.
For the price of currently $369,99 this is a very good deal! So for beginners, this is very much recommended.

The Goosehill Paddle Board is most suitable for:
The Goosehill Paddle Board offers a complete package with all the basic accessories that is aimed at beginners at Stand Up Paddling. If you want to start out with this water sport and try it for the first time, you donβt want to spend a lot of money. But what you also donβt want is to spend money on a board that is so bad and unstable that you will start disliking paddling from the start.
That is where the Goosehill Paddle Board comes in. This board is perfect for all-around use for beginners and offers a stable platform to go out on the water. To start out this is just perfect and it offers everything you need.
The Goosehill Paddle Board indicates a maximum carrying capacity of 440 lbs / 200 kg, which is a lot for a board of this size and price.
On Amazon, this is one of the most sold paddle boards. Out of all 540 online reviews, customers that bought this item globally rate it at 4.8 out of 5 stars! That is truly amazing for a paddle board to offer such excellent quality at that price!
You can read more about the brand and all the other paddle boards Goosehill offers, here.
Sometimes you can find this board cheaper on Amazon, so check its price below β
Atoll Paddle Board

You have to love the nice design (available in 4 different colors) with the amazing logo and the great stability of the board. The high maximum carrying capacity of 400 lbs / 181 kg makes it suitable for everyone people and sometimes for carrying along a pet or a child with you and in many cases even a second person.
The size of the board is 11β0″ x 32β with a weight of only 21 lbs / 9.5 kg. So even for SUP Yoga , this is one of the best all-round board as it offers a lot of space and stability.
The high quality package with the black carbon fiberglass paddle with nylon blade ensures that you have everything you need to get started paddling.
With a comfortable backpack, a decent SUP pump and a coiled leash included you don’t have to be afraid that your accessories will break anytime soon or that you need to purchase extras.
You can read my complete review of the Atoll paddle board here.
Just like the Goosehill, the Atoll is also very well sold on Amazon. Out of all the online reviews 98% of customers that bought this item gave it a 4 or 5 star rating! (Based on 892 ratings as on 14th of May 2021)

Touring Paddle Board
In comparison touring paddle boards are bigger and more stable, because they need to last for longer trips. So even as you get tired, they need to be stable but you still need to be able to make enough pace on them. The platforms of these paddle boards are usually bigger, so it is also easier to carry along some dry clothes in a dry bag or your camping gear. This is why this is among the best inflatable paddle board picks.
Personally I would not recommend boards under 12′ for touring, 12’6″ is the most common length and perfect size for touring. And guess what, since this is my blog, only boards of at least 12′ have been picked, what a coincidence π
So lets move on to the best inflatable paddle boards for touring for this year.
Top 4 of the best inflatable paddle boards for touring this year

Bluefin Rogue

I really like the Bluefin boards and they have the highest quality, as is the case with their newest Bluefin Rogue touring boards. Because of that it is likely you will see Bluefin multiple times in the list, but only because I enjoy the boards and their quality. Not for any other reason.
So now we’ve talked about this lets move on with the review of the Bluefin Rogue 12’6″. As can be expected it has the same material and quality in the board and accessories as the Bluefin Cruise. Did you not read it because you were only interested in touring boards? A short summary of this
- Fusion layer construction with ESL technology
- NXT carbon paddle
- High-quality dual chamber hand pump with deflating option
- Backpack with wheels for easy transport
The size of this board is 12’6″ x 30″ x 6β, with a weight of 27 lbs / 12.3 kg and a carrying capacity of 440 lbs. / 200 kg.
As said in my introduction of touring paddle boards, this has a nice big platform and a great carrying capacity for taking along an extra person for a trip. It is great to spend time on the water together without distractions. You just look at the view and talk to each other without screens, especially a good tip for those of you with partners that are addicted to their phone screen π
So for a touring board this is the most sturdy, has the best accessories and allows you to stay stable for a long time and carry along a friend, pets, gear or whatever you like. Hence this is my number one touring board!
Note: Bluefin often has great sales, which make this best inflatable paddle board for touring value even cheaper at times. You might want to check out the current Bluefin sales to see how much it costs right now.
Goosehill Sailor Touring Model

The Goosehill Touring model is excellent for experienced paddlers who want to tour different areas with great stability and resilience. It can handle chop and windy conditions and it’s also well-suited for cruising on calmer waters.
This board weighs 26 lbs. so it is lightweight and very easy to carry when inflated or even when packed into the backpack. I donβt think anyone would have any trouble transporting the Goosehill touring board to and from the water and anywhere their adventures take them.
Also because the board is so lightweight it takes very little effort to paddle and propel forward or turn and maneuver. You can go into relaxation mode when paddling with this one!
Performance-wise, this board with its pointy ends is as fast as they come, yet, I was also amazed by its stability. Thanks to the balance it holds, the board is ideal for taking a break, having a seat, and just chilling. It is ultra-stable so I find that I am super comfortable regardless of whether I am paddling, sitting, or kneeling.
There is a three-point bungee system at the nose. The bungee section is large enough to store a couple of dry bags and is perfect for securing your essentials. I always like the diamond groove traction pads because they provide excellent grip. The traction pad is a good length and provides plenty of room to move around if needed.
The center carry handle feels strong and has a little bit of padding for added comfort when carrying the board. This is the only carry handle on this SUP.
There is one removable center fin that easily clips into place. I would highly recommend using this fin as it really helps with tracking and performance.
If you will be paddling in very shallow water you can remove the fin completely. However, with the fin attached the board feels the most stable and this is what you will want for most water conditions.
The company states that the Sailor Touring SUP is made with SCE Technology which combines a laminated layer and strong drop stitch core creating a durable and rigid paddle board.
When I tried the Sailor touring board I have felt that it is quite durable. I havenβt heard of any issues and for touring or recreational paddling I have no concerns.
It is this premium construction that makes the Touring Goosehill Sailor well-suited for more versatility like relaxation paddling, touring, SUP fishing, or even whitewater.
In its package, the Touring Sailor has everything you need. You get a 3-piece 100% carbon-fiber paddle, pump, backpack, SUP leash, detachable center fin, repair kit.
I love that they included a carbon paddle!
The backpack has some good features including:
- A mesh side paddle holder
- Padded shoulder straps
- Waist strap
- One-side carry handle
The included hand pump is a good one and inflates the board in about 5-6 minutes. Itβs easy to use and has two different settings for single-action and double-action mode to make it easier to reach the desired air pressure of 12-15 PSI.

If you get tired of pumping you can always upgrade to an electric pump. I tested the Shark II Electric Pump (my fave!) with this board and it works like a charm every time!
Isle 12’6″ Discovery

The ISLE 12’6″ is also a great touring board from a brand that is known for its high-quality Stand Up Paddle Boards.
So full disclosure: I like ISLE SUP a bit less because they do not ship internationally. I was lucky enough to be able to try this paddle board when visiting my American friends I met during my internship over there.
But besides that they produce some great boards, of which the Isle 12’6″ Discovery is the best touring board. Unlike the Bluefin Rogue I would not recommend to take a second person, as the maximum carrying capacity of this board is only 275 lbs / 125 kg.
It still offers a great platform for touring that is very sturdy and easy to carry along when not inflated. The paddle has a carbon fiber shaft and a good quality coiled leash is also included.
As the board is more expensive than the Bluefin Rogue 12’6″ and for that money you get a better pump, a better paddle and a way higher carrying capacity you can understand why this board is in second place as the best inflatable paddle board.
Bluefin Cruise 12′

To be honest I first had my doubts about the Bluefin paddle boards, mostly because of the extremely aggressive marketing they use. If you type “paddle board” “sup board”or even any other brand, this brand will always pop up.
My thoughts are that quality will eventually always come out on top and when spending these amounts on marketing I start to think the product might not be great. I want more money on product development, not marketing! But then again I like paddle boarding and this board is popular (because of the marketing), so I had to try it out.
What is great about this touring board is that a kayak seat is included in the package, just like a paddle that can be turned into a kayak paddle. This gives you more options and makes it easy to sit down, relax and paddle slowly, which is sometimes very enjoyable.
It does offer a good and sturdy experience and with a carrying capacity of 309 lbs it can carry more than the ISLE SUP, but not nearly what the Bluefin can take.
The size of the board is 12β x 33β with a weight of 31 lbs / 14 kg. So quite heavy for a board that can carry up to 309 lbs / 140 kg, but it has a tough construction.
The Bluefin Cruise 12′ also has a carbon edition, with a carbon paddle and a triple action pump. This makes the package close to what the Bluefin Rogue has to offer, but the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 12′ costs a whopping $999!
On Amazon the Bluefin Cruise 12′ is popular and among the best inflatable paddle board picks for reasons named above. Out of all the online reviews 89% of customers that bought this item gave it a 4 or 5 star rating. (Based on 428 ratings as on 25th of February 2024)

Racing Paddle Board
Racing Paddle Boards are differently shaped in order to achieve the maximum amount of speed. These boards are often very long (12’6″ or 14′ are very common) and not wide, so they have a long glide every time you pull back the paddle through the water.
As you can guess the longer the better in this case, so my top 3 best inflatable paddle board picks consists of 14′ long inflatable paddle boards.
So it is very efficient because the water gives less resistance, you cut through it like a knife. These boards also have a pointy front for this purpose. Since you need maximum speed and need to paddle a bit harder, I would always recommend to get a fiberglass or carbon paddle.
So lets move on to the best inflatable paddle boards for racing for this year.
Top 4 of best inflatable paddle boards for racing this year

Bluefin Sprint 14′

Tower Xplorer 14′
β 42 lbs / 19 kg
β $949 (currently)
β 14′ x 32″ x 8″
β Max. weight 700 lbs. / 318 kg.
β Incl. paddle, pump

Bluefin Nitro
β 28 lbs / 12.7 kg
β $799(currently)
β 14′ x 28β x 6β
β Max. weight 418 lbs. / 190 kg.
β Incl. pump, leash, backpack, paddle
Bluefin Sprint 14′

The Bluefin Sprint is great overall, it is a long but slim board, not too heavy, and very sturdy. Furthermore, it contains a complete package of high-quality accessories like a high-pressure pump (double action), a fiberglass paddle, and a leash.
Going out paddling on your own I would surely recommend this board, as the value is very good for its price. Currently it is about $699 (converted from British pounds) if you get it on Amazon.co.uk (they do ship worldwide).
The Bluefin can be inflated anywhere between 15-18 PSI and it is very stiff. A really good and long glide, this board makes it easy to go fast in a straight line. But in case it would be needed, it also has a raised kick pad to turn (which is not that easy on a board this size!).
The size of this board is 14′ x 28″ x 6β, with a weight of 28 lbs / 12.7 kg and a carrying capacity of 353 lbs. / 160 kg.
Just like the next two boards, the length of 14′ is great for achieving speed, but the platform also offers enough space to take some things with you under the luggage elastic. A second person is possible, although the next board may be better for this purpose.
If you are looking for the best inflatable paddle board for racing to go out on your own and achieve great speed, this board is surely your best option with its complete package.
Goosehill Racing Sailor 14′

Speed, stability, and performance are the first words that come to mind when riding the Goosehill Racing Sailor 14‘. This board features a sleek design allowing it to easily cut through the water with more glide and less resistance on each paddle stroke. The board also features a soft full-length deck pad for maximum comfort. The Racing Sailor is the perfect training platform for getting an intensive, all-encompassing core workout while maintaining a top-of-the-line competitive edge.
The SUP is ideal for both smaller and bigger paddlers. It has a fairly wide standing platform (28 inches wide) and a maximum weight limit of 455 pounds (or 509 pounds depending on the model you choose), making it suitable for even the heavier paddlers.
Also, given its length (14β), the heavier you are, it can still take on the weight no matter the heigth in order to maintain the same level of handling (more info can be found here: SUP Buying Guide).
Additionally, it can accommodate 1 paddler with all the accessories (SUP cooler with drinks, other gear) or even a pet, and other things as long as the weight capacity isnβt exceeded. The boardβs width provides stability, making it easy for beginners and experienced paddlers to handle.
Read more about Goosehill paddle boards and why they are surely sweeping the SUP world at the moment.
Its 18-20 PSI and 6″ thickness mean this board is fast, agile and provides maximum performance when racing or simply paddling fast. With its design it glides on the water and is perfect for calm waters when speed is in focus.
It’s stable for its shape. Built to offer hardboard-like performance, this inflatable paddleboard still offers riders with a fair amount of stability. It’s one of the few inflatable paddleboards in this segment that can properly balance speed with stability.
This is the best option when it comes to racing boards because it not only offers the best performance but it comes fully equipped with everything you need for a complete SUP experience.
Tower Xplorer 14′

The Tower Xplorer is also a large racing board, but it seems more suited for achieving speed with multiple persons and less suitable for single person action. The board has a maximum carrying capacity of 700 lbs, which invites you to take other people on board with you.
The thickness of 8″ and the pressure of only 11 PSI also indicate that this isn’t for maximum performance, but for doing things together. You can imagine that if you get on a paddle board with 2 or 3 people it will be a lot harder to move forward, so the racing element gets a bit lost here.
So go out and have some fun and exercise together, see which speeds you can achieve and uncover new territories. Downsides of this board are the quite high pricing, the low quality paddle, the missing leash and the high weight (42 lbs is quite a lot to carry to the beach).
This board is only recommended if you go out together, for single use the Bluefin Sprint is in all aspects the better option for users.
Bluefin Nitro

The last board in my top racing boards is the Bluefin Nitro, which is basically a newer version of the Bluefin Sprint. The main difference is that this board is 2″ less wide, so it’s supposed to be faster. The board is also 2 kg lighter, which makes it a little easier to carry
The Bluefin Nitro racing paddle board is a top-notch choice for paddlers looking to take their racing skills to the next level. With its sleek and streamlined design, the Nitro is built for speed and performance. It features a narrow width and long length, providing excellent tracking and maneuverability on the water.
The board’s rigid construction, made from military-grade PVC with reinforced drop-stitch technology, ensures durability and stability even during intense racing conditions. The Nitro’s inflatable design allows for easy transportation and storage, making it convenient for travel and adventure.
Equipped with a high-pressure pump and an efficient inflation system, the board can be quickly set up and ready for action. Whether you’re competing in races or simply craving an exhilarating paddle, the Bluefin Nitro racing paddle board delivers exceptional speed, agility, and reliability to elevate your paddling experience.
The size of the board is 14β x 28β with a weight of 27.3 lbs / 12.4 kg. So this board is just a bit lighter than the Bluefin Sprint and it can carry the same weight. Both include all accessories and a high quality paddle, you just have to figure out which one suits you best.
If you’re looking for a very fast board that looks great and comes with all accessories, the Bluefin Nitro will be the perfect choice for you!

Multi-Person Paddle Board
Multi-Person paddle boards are made for having fun together or for exercising together on the water. Whether it is purely recreational, racing together or even doing Yoga together.
For these boards it is important to have a big platform and to have a high maximum carrying capacity. Some boards can even be used with 7 to 8 people at the same time. This will be a lot of fun as you cruise the water together while enjoying each others company.
As you can guess there is less speed to be achieved and these boards should not be used for going out on your own. These boards are all about friends and family. I will show you my top 3 for these boards, but the choice depends mostly on the amount of people you want to go out on the water with.
So lets move on to the 3 best inflatable paddle boards for multiple people for this year.
Top 3 of best inflatable paddle boards for multi-persons this year

Isle Megalodon 15′
β 50 lbs / 22.7 kg
β $1.295 (currently)
β 15β x 56β x 8β
β Max. weight 1050 lbs. / 476 kg.
β Incl. 2 paddles, 2 pumps
Bluefin Cruise 15′
β 34 lbs / 15.3 kg
β $1499(currently)
β 15′ x 36″ x 6″
β Max. weight 529 lbs. / 240 kg.
β Incl. 2 paddle, pump, leash, 2 kayak seats
Bluefin Mammoth
β 60 lbs / 27 kg
β 1349(currently)
β 18′ x 60β x 8β
β Max. weight 1100 lbs+ / 500 kg+
β Incl. pump and backpack
Isle Megalodon 15′

The Isle Megalodon is a great board to go outside with the family and have some fun, like multi person paddle boards are meant to do. With the big platform of 15β x 56β and a thickness of 8″ this board offers a lot of stability while still staying hard.
The maximum weight of 1050 lbs, so around 5 or 6 people, depending on their weight, could have fun on this board and paddle together. The board includes 2 paddles and 2 pumps, so if more people want to join they have to bring their own paddle.
The board can be inflated up to 17 PSI, which is a good pressure for this size board and makes it very stiff. Furthermore it has 12 carrying handles, so everyone can participate in carrying this board together, that weighs 50 lbs.
For a board this big from a known brand this is a normal price, if you divide it by the number if people the cost is pretty fair. As you know I like to make fun of Red Paddle because of their pricing, but this time I actually included them in this top 3 (alright, also because of a lack of giant boards available). That will mostly show you that this is a bargain π
So if you want to go out with your family or friends more often this is a great choice!
Bluefin Cruise 15′

Of course, a multi-person paddleboard does not only mean going out with a whole group of people but sometimes you just want to go out with the two of you. Bluefin has a great option for this, with the Bluefin Cruise 15′.
The size of 15′ x 36″ is very spacious for two people and the board can be inflated at 28 PSI. This board is 6″ thick, where the other multi-person boards are 8″ thick, which is probably why the maximum carrying capacity is only 529 lbs.
To be honest I think this is estimated a bit low, when I went on here with my friend (we’re heavier than 353 lbs together, all those muscles) there wasn’t any problem with the board bending through. So three people might also be possible, but don’t blame me for your wet feet π
As it goes with Bluefin, the best feature is the completeness of the package. Of course, it has the pump and a leash, but this board also includes 2 fiberglass paddles with the option to switch to kayak paddles. It even includes 2 seats, in case you want to paddleboard together sitting down.
So if you want to go out together with the 2 (or 3) of you and whether you want to stand or sit down paddling, the Bluefin Cruise 15′ is a great board for you!
Bluefin Mammoth

If you plan to go big and head out with a large group, the Bluefin Mammoth will be your best choice. This huge board has a size of 18′ x 60β x 8β and can easily carry 1100 lbs / 500 kg for a ride, which is about 7 Europeans or 6 Americans (based on average research π).
A high quality pump and backpack are included, along with 5 fins to keep a straight course. You do have to get your paddles though, so make sure to not forget those!
The Bluefin Mammoth paddle board is a highly capable SUP that delivers exceptional stability, even when fully loaded. Whether you’re paddling with friends on calm lakes or catching small waves in the ocean, this board ensures a safe and enjoyable experience.
Constructed with extra-thick PVC and an 8-inch thickness, it offers excellent rigidity and durability, preventing any bending. The board’s weight of 27 kg is conveniently manageable with the included backpack and high-pressure pump. With 13 neoprene carrying handles, transporting the board becomes quick and easy.
Do you have loads of friends or a huge family and you all want to get out on the water together? Then this board is perfect for you!

Yoga Paddle Board
Paddle Board Yoga is getting more and more popular and why wouldn’t it. You can exercise outside in the (hopefully) sun on the water, fresh air instead of the sweaty gym and the soothing waves. Perfect to be able to concentrate on yourself and your work-out, and forget everything else for a moment.
As I have mentioned before in my guide about the best Yoga paddle boards I am not so much a Yoga fanatic. I do go out and relax, but I don’t work up a sweat by trying to get myself in all these Yoga positions to work out on the water.
If you want to read more about paddle board Yoga, some must-read tips and some exercises/Yoga poses to do on your Stand Up Paddle board, check out the guide mentioned above.
The best ones here will obviously be the same as in that guide, so if you only want to do Yoga forget this long guide and head over there!
Next is a recap of the best inflatable paddle boards for Yoga for this year.

Peak 10′ Yoga

The Peak 10′ Yoga board can be used in multiple ways. Since itβs quite a small board, using it just for relaxation or touring is also possible. But the main purpose if obviously Yoga, hence the name.
This board can carry up to 240 lbs, so it would be possible to take a pet or child, but this gives you less space for your exercises. What I really like is the colorful package, which matches the design of the board. The package comes with a (3 piece) paddle (does not float!), a travel backpack, a leash, high pressure dual action pump, center fin and a water proof smart phone carry case.
Although there arenβt as many reviews as for the ISLE SUP, I can easily conclude this is a no-brainer to buy. PEAK delivered a high quality product which is easy to carry and has a great design. The price is very interesting as well.
If youβre looking for a Yoga board that can also be used for other purposes, this is your way to go.
Bluefin Aura Fit

The Bluefin Aura Fit is purely designed for Paddle Board Yoga. I love the amazing design and the huge grip deck!
With its width of 36β³, the board is aimed at Yoga and normal paddle boarding, this is why it also has a kick pad for more sporty use.
You can imagine that a width of 36β³ / 91 cm offers a lot of stability and it is easier to do difficult Yoga poses without losing your balance.
Unlike the boards above, the Bluefin Aura Fit does not have a grip handle in the middle, which is way more convenient for Yoga. I can honestly hardly believe that this hasnβt been thought about before, as it is always poking in your back when lying down.
You can use the action camera mount to film your own Yoga or paddling adventures, to watch them later or in case you are so good you want to post instruction videos for others attempting SUP Yoga.
Like the Bluefin Voyage this board does not only include theΒ fiberglass paddle, but also aΒ coiled leash,Β backpack,Β three fins, aΒ high pressure pumpΒ and aΒ waterproof phone cover. For the current price of $449 (at this moment with discount) this is a very good deal for such a complete package and for a $100 more this honestly would still be worth it easily.
Goosehill Rainbow R 10’6″

The Goosehill Rainbow R is an inflatable SUP that comes with all the accessories, packs down into a backpack, and is light enough to travel with. Itβs so sturdy you can do handstands on it, and it doesnβt cost a fortune.
While the price might be reflective of what you would normally pay for the board only, what youβre actually getting is a full SUP package. Thereβs no need to buy separate attachments. It comes with:
- 10β6 inflatable SUP
- Wheeled backpack for storage
- Aluminium adjustable paddle
- Pump with pressure gauge
- Repair / patch kit
- Slide in fin
- Coiled leash
- EVA Non-slip deck pad
At 20.5 lbs (9.3 kg), the iSUP is light enough to walk with with for a reasonable distance (carried on your back or wheeled β the backpack it comes with has both functions), and itβs weight and size is perfect for checked flight luggage. Here are the specs:
- Model: Rainbow
- Net Weight: 20.5lbs / 9.3 kg
- Board size: 320 x 81 x 15 cm (10β6β³ x 32β³ x 6β³)
- Max Payload: 308 lbs / 140 kg
- Volume: 300 L
- Max. Air Pressure: 15 PSI
- Colors: Energy (turquoise), Sense (deep blue), Passion (red)
- Cost: $399
First things first, the backpack is a good oversized bag to store and transport everything with. Itβs a long, thin, black backpack that fits comfortably on your back; it comes with chest straps, padded shoulder straps, and padded handles if you want to carry it by your side.
There are straps inside to hold everything, a deep pocket on the back, and padded mesh for back support and comfort. Wheels make it easy to move through airports, and being rectangular in shape, it easily fits into closets for storage, and in the trunk of your car.
Pro Tip: The Backpack is roughly 90 cm tall by 60 cm wide (these are my measurements, not official specs), so while light, itβs not all that small when youβre wearing it (that said, itβs very small when considering thereβs a 10 foot SUP inside!). When wearing it as a backpack itβs likely to go from your bottom to the top of your head, and short people might find this awkward. In which case there are wheels.

The aluminium paddle is adjustable, and breaks down into two pieces, making it very compact. The height adjusts on a simple push button lock system, and can be moved from 175cm (68.9 inches) to 215cm (84.65 inches), which is really practical for varying heights.
The board also comes with thruster fins β two permanently attached, as well as a 9 inch center fin that comes separately and slides into a plastic track to attach. This center fin uses a small lever which locks it into place once youβve slid it in, and itβs very solid.
Thereβs also a coiled ankle leash which has a comfy velcro ankle strap, and easily attaches to the D-ring at the back of the board. This is to keep the board from floating away from you if you fall into the water; the leash is long to allow a full range of movement on the board, and very durable.
Inflating the SUP takes around 10 minutes with the 3rd generation pump that comes with the board. The pump attaches really easily to the board with a straightforward push and twist, and itβs air tight β zero air escapes while inflating!
The recommended air pressure is 15 PSI, and the pump has a really easy to read gauge on the top which tells you how much pressure youβre at (PSI stands for pounds per square inch) β we found the board was perfectly usable at 12 PSI.
Pumping the paddleboard is easy at first, though as you get closer to the end itβs quite the exercise! It gets a lot harder to pump as you get above 10 PSI, so itβs not a bad idea to switch out and take turns if youβve got an SUP buddy. Or, my humble opinion ( π ) would be to get an electric pump to make your life easier. I mean, you’ll get your exercise on the water anyway, so why break a sweat? The Shark II or the battery pump Whale by OutdoorMaster (can inflate up to 5!! boards on a single charge) are very good choices worth investing in.
Construction

The Rainbow R has SCE layer reinforcement technology.
This is one of the latest iSUP boards in 2019, and this means that it has some pretty advanced technology that sets it above other inflatable SUPs.
The Super Construction Enhancement Technology (SCE) they use laminates and blends the traditional single layer board with an enhanced layer on each side to create a new layer which, compared with a double layer board, is just as stiff and durable but thinner and lighter.
So, itβs as durable as a rigid board, but far more lightweight, and incredibly easy to transport. Thereβs a dense drop-stitch construction at the core of the board which holds the two layers firmly together, meaning it can withstand high pressure.
ISLE 11″ Scout

The Scout is a popular board with a lot of positive reviews online. Just like the Peak 10′ the ISLE Scout paddle board is a multi-purpose board because of its design. The traction pad for example, is great for dogs and other pets because they have more grip on the board. The design and the width of the board are also ideal for paddle boarding with your child.
The size of 11″ x 33″ x 6″ makes this board a bit longer than the Peak 10′ and this comes with a bit higher quality accessories. The supplied Hybrid 3-Piece Adjustable Carbon Shaft / Nylon Blade Paddle is the best example of this.
But then again, for paddle board Yoga a paddle and other accessories are less necessary, so is it worth paying $250 more for things you will not use a lot? If you are planning on long touring and fast paddling in the waves, of course this would be needed. Then again, you wouldn’t purchase a Yoga board if that was your main goal.
So I would recommend the Isle 10’6″ Scout even more for activities other than Yoga because of the high quality package, but money wise the Peak 10′ wins it in comparison when looking at Yoga paddle boards.
Aqua Marina Dhyana

The Aqua Marina is the most ZEN styled, relaxing paddleboard that I have seen. This is my personal favorite as I have mentioned before. This board is more aimed at Yoga and less at all-around activities, unlike the two previous boards.
With a size of 11′ x 36β x 6β it is quite a big larger than the other boards, which offers more room for exercising. The carrying capacity is 352 lbs, almost the same as the other boards.
The package also comes including a paddle, pump and leash. The quality of these accessories is not too high, so I would not recommend taking long trips on this board and with the supplied paddle.
The main USP of the Aqua Marina Dhyana is the paddleboard dock that can bring the boards together. If you are a Yoga teacher, this is THE way to do Yoga together. Buy a dock, connect up to 8 boards and work out together. The Yoga teacher can be at the docking station so that everyone has a good view. This is so well thought over and practical for classes.
For group activities or if you simply want a bigger floating platform for Yoga I would recommend the Aqua Marina Dhyana to enjoy all your outside exercise.

Fishing Paddle Board
You float around on the water, cast out your rod(s) and drift around and enjoy the nature while you try and catch the best fish of the day. You can even reach new schools of fish that gather in the middle of the lake that you would rarely see at the shore.
But which Stand Up Paddle Board would be best to start fishing on? Is an inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board suitable for fishing on the water? Of course I understand the concern about the combination of sharp hooks and an inflatable device, but this is not such a big concern as you would think. Inflatable boards are very sturdy and will not get damaged anytime soon due to improved technology.
Iβve seen too many guides that put boards on the list that should not be used for fishing but are just All-Around Paddle Boards. For my choices I only consider Stand Up Paddle Boards purely aimed at fishing, without any exception.
If they do not have at least rod holders they do not count as proper fishing paddle boards to me. And I check if they are available on the market, as a lot of guides are outdated and show boards that are not sold anymore.
I have chosen the 3 best Stand Up Paddle Boards that are suitable for a fishing adventure. Which one is best for you depends on your budget, requirements and the amount of gear you want to carry along with you.
I consider these boards as the best inflatable paddle boards for fishing:

Bluefin Voyage 10β10β Paddle Board

The Bluefin Voyage paddle board is a big and stable platform for stand-up paddle boarding that has all the necessary supplies to go out paddling on the water. This includes a height-adjustable paddle, leash, backpack and high-pressure pump.
Because it is a fishing paddle board it of course has two (removable) rod holders, so you can paddle and catch fish at the same time. Besides that it also has a GoPro mount on the front, so you are able to catch your fishing adventures on camera.
This best inflatable paddle board for fishing has a size of 10β10β³ long and 38β wide. As you can see the edges of the board are extra thick to increase stability and to prevent anything from sliding off the side (not that that would happen with the high quality EVA-deck on the board).
That is what makes this a great board for fishing. It is just an added bonus that it is from the known Bluefin brand, which also offers an amazing 5 year warranty on the board! If you like fishing on your paddle board but also want to occasionally alternate with normal paddle boarding, this is an insanely good board.
This is a great board for whoever wants to fish from a Stand Up Paddle Board in the best way possible. A good and stable size, very sturdy material and it comes in a complete package and has very positive reviews all over.
The price is even good compared to other fishing paddle boards and you get so much for your money that this board is surely worth the investment. It ensures SUP fishing fun for years to come!
Goosehill Rainbow R 10’6″

The Goosehill Rainbow R is an inflatable SUP that uses the latest SCE technology. Thanks to its smart design, it is very versatile which is why I talked about it in the Yoga section above and now in the fishing section.
As I mentioned before, it comes with all the accessories, packs down into a backpack, and is light enough to travel with. Itβs so sturdy you can fish on it, easily balanced, and the best thing is that it doesnβt cost a fortune.
You can read all about its specs and features here (the link will take you to the yoga section above where I have described this board in-depth).
SEA Eagle FishSUP 12’6″

The Sea Eagle fishing SUP is a sturdy and roomy fishing Stand Up Paddle Board. It has a motor mount in case you would like to add a motor instead of paddling around. The Engine capacity for the FS126 FishSUP 126 is 55 lb. thrust (45 lbs. max weight).
This fishing iSUP offers quite the platform to fish from, with 12’6″ length, 40″ width and 6″ thickness. The widest SUP we will discuss today and a maximum capacity of a whopping 500 lbs. If you would like to take a second person on your fishing trip, this would be the best board for you to pick.
The board comes including a swivel seat fish rig including 2 rod holders, 2 extra rod holders in the front, backpack, paddle, multi-purpose storage box, SUP pump and a repair kit. So if you are fishing with two people or you want to fish with 4 rods at the same time, go for the Sea Eagle FishSUP.
This is the way to go if you want to go on a SUP fishing trip with 2 people or if you want to use 4 rods at the same time. Also the option to attach a motor is a nice feature in case you are not interested in paddling around all the time.
Fish Stalker iSUP 12′

The Fish Stalker Inflatable Fishing Standup Paddle Board is immediately noticed because of the special shape and design. It is still called a SUP board, but the design is more in the shape of a catamaran and enhances the stability of the board.
The Fish Stalker is 12β long and 34β wide and also has a maximum capacity of 500 lbs. Like the Sea Eagle it has an optional motor mount system. A paddle will have to be bought as an extra, which I think could have been included with the board.
The shape of the board is the most intriguing about it and the camouflage design makes it complete. This board comes including a motor mount bracket, paddle holders, docking cleats, a backpack and a SUP pump.
As you can see by most stats, it is comparable to the Sea Eagle SUP. If you prefer the design and shape, the Fish Stalker is for you. The fact that it is missing a paddle, a seat and leash are a loss though. Which is why in this comparison I would prefer the Sea Eagle because of the completeness of the package.

Conclusion for the best inflatable paddle board
I hope this guide on the best inflatable paddle board was helpful and gave you a bit more insight into which one to get.
As you can see from this long long page it is not easy to pick one best inflatable paddle board overall. It depends on the purpose of the user and of course personal taste.
I tried as good as possible to give my opinion per type of paddle board and which paddle boards I find best suitable for each purpose.
Of course all-around paddle boards are most used and most popular, so in that case the Bluefin Cruise 10’8″ paddle board is the best inflatable paddle board.
In general Bluefin does very well, mostly because of the worldwide availability and consistency. Where brands like Blackfin/iRocker, ROC SUP and more have been focusing on raising their prices immensely, Bluefin has been aiming at improving quality and availability, which makes them the best SUP brand in my eyes.
Just make sure that you always pick a the best inflatable paddle board for the right purpose and that you pick a complete package, so you have everything you need to get started.
Do not only look at the quality of the Stand Up Paddle Board, but also at the quality of the accessories. The difference between an aluminum and a fiberglass or carbon paddle is huge and is worth the extra investment.
Also a good coiled leash and a double action high pressure pump make it way easier to get started and also keep you safe on the water. If a coiled leash is not included with the package I always recommend to purchase one for your own safety, also a Restube is very recommended as an accessory for extra safety.
Check the complete package and compare it to the purchase price so you can always make the right decision. As an extra tip you can also check out used paddle boards in case you are on a tighter budget, but still want a board from a quality brand.

Great guide! I agree on what you are saying, the Bluefin is an amazing board for this price, but the Bluefin Cruise Carbon is better overall, just not when comparing it with the relative pricing. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Sanjay π
Very informative guide, this helped me a lot picking a board. I preferred the Bluefin Cruise 12 as I go touring most of the time when I go out on the water, the kayak seat is perfect when you get tired of paddling standing up. It is getting hot already here in Greece some days, standing and paddling in the full sun all day can get very exhausting!
Thank you for your extensive guide, after purchasing the Bluefin Cruise Carbon board I can agree that it is such high quality! The extras are worth the money for me honestly, even if the board is a bit heavier. It feels so sturdy when inflated, like I am holding a solid heavy board. By holding it I just know it will last for many years instantly.
I love doing Yoga on my paddle board and the inflatable paddle board feels really stable. Does it make a lot of difference if you use an inflatable board when it’s cold outside? Would is be better to use a regular board in that case?
Hi Monika,
This shouldn’t make a lot of difference, just make sure that you are safe when you go out paddling in the cold!
