The The Aura Fit paddle board is manufactured by Bluefin SUP, a UK-based family business. And if you’ve been a reader here in my blog for a while now, you probably know that a lot of my favorite paddle boards are from their company. That’s because they always kill it with the great paddle board designs with awesome quality, and I think they did that with the Bluefin Aura Fit as well!
Now I’ll let you in on the details and specifications of the Bluefin Aura Fit yoga board so you can see if this type of paddle board is suited to your needs.

Transport
It is very easy to transport this SUP because you can transport it deflated and it has a backpack for all its accessories
Stability
The board is stable on the water and the weight capacity of 353 lbs and is wide and spacious
Primary Use
Like what I’ve been saying at the start of this blog, the Bluefin Aura Fit is a multi-use paddle board. But it’s mostly suited as a SUP Yoga and SUP Pilates board since its width is designed to have more deck space. And because of the Aura Fit’s rigidness and durability, families can enjoy this board as well since it has a maximum weight limit of 353 lbs. Of course, I also used the Bluefin Aura Fit as an all-around paddle board because, as you already know, I’m not into yoga that much. 😅
Speed on The Water
One of the cons about this paddle board is that it’s not really that fast on the water. This is because of the added width which makes it less fast than the usual all-around SUP. That’s why I don’t suggest you use it as a travel/touring board. But if you’re just going to use it on SUP Yoga or any other SUP fitness activity, I don’t think the speed will be much of a problem.
Transport
When it’s not inflated yet, the board and the accessories it comes with all fit in the included backpack. The backpack makes it easy to bring it anywhere since Bluefin made sure the straps are comfortable too! However, when the board was already inflated, I think it was a little challenging to carry around because of its width of 38”. It also doesn’t have a grip handle in the middle so you can’t just pick it up like with the usual paddle boards.
Stability
We’ve already established that the Bluefin Aura Fit is wide and spacious. That being said, the stability of this board is topnotch. For SUP fitness enthusiasts, stableness and rigidness is essential. And when I tested this board, it felt really steady, safe, and comfortable all at once.
My own experience
As a fan of Bluefin SUP, I’ve always appreciated their basic paddle boards since they have been perfect for my recreational adventures so far. But with Bluefin Aura Fit, it’s a different story; like I’ve mentioned above, it’s a board specifically made for a wide range of water-based fitness activities. If we look closer at the specs, Aura Fit’s width is 35”.
This means having a lot of space for yoga poses or having your family on board will not a problem! But because of the wider and more spacious design, this paddleboard does not actually move that fast in the water like what a normal SUP would do. That’s why it’s not highly recommended to use it for touring (but hey, nothing wrong with taking the time while doing a casual paddle, right?)
Aside from that, the Aura Fit is quite sturdy since it has a big and rounded footprint. Obviously, you’d be needing that when you’re doing different yoga, pilates, or other exercises so it’s pretty great that this board offers just that. And with the maximum pressure of 28 PSI, this board can get super rigid, making it easier for fitness enthusiasts like you to balance in your SUP while doing the most complicated yoga poses (which I’m not sure if I can do, lol!).

When I received the Bluefin Aura package, I got a complete basic kit that contains most of the stuff you’ll need if you’re going to use the board for exercising and recreation. It comes with a dual action hand pump, a coiled leash, an adjustable fibre-glass paddle, a backpack, a center fin, waterproof phone case, minor SUP repair kit, and a kayak seat.
The paddle included has a shaft that weighs 45% less than the usual paddle shafts so it’s super lightweight and comfortable to use. On top of that, the paddle also can be used along with the kayak seat since it can be converted to a double blade paddle if you’re feeling a SUP kayak moment. So versatile!
Of course, as with any other Bluefin paddle boards that I like, the Aura Fit is durable and it feels like it can last a really long time. That’s because the design in this board is well-thought out and is made with 1000 denier exo surface laminate PVC and an excellent pro weave drop stitch technology. Not to mention the 5 year warranty the product comes with!
I’d say the overall feel of this board is topnotch. From the nice patterned print with a color that pops out when it’s in the water, I think the aesthetics of this board is quite nice (and it’s very “zen” which is perfect for yoga!) It also feels super comfortable because of the padded deck padding and without the annoying grip handle in the middle so you won’t catch your foot on anything when exercising or paddling, which I really appreciate.
It Offers the Ultimate Zen Experience
For SUP fitness enthusiasts, the Bluefin Aura is quite well-loved. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this board in the community, starting with the physical design. First, paddlers/SUP yoga practitioners really enjoy the print, color, and accessory placement in the board. Of course, one of the advantages of doing yoga in the water is the calmness it brings (I might want to try that out when I’m stressed, haha!).
The general consensus is that the eye-pleasing physical design of the Aura Fit is perfect for that SUP yoga session in the water which brings some “zen” feeling to many practitioners. Personally, I haven’t pushed my SUP yoga skills to the fullest yet with this board— but with my minimal experience reviewing it so far, the overall look of this SUP has been pretty great.
Aside from regular paddleboarders like me and SUP fitness enthusiasts, this Aura Fit board is also enjoyed by families and dog owners around the world. Of course, because the board’s width is very wide and the maximum weight capacity is generous, it can definitely carry parents with children or pet owners with their dogs. It’s nice to think that a paddle board like this can help people make more awesome memories with their loved ones!
Now when it comes to the accessories that the Aura Fit board comes with, I don’t really have a lot of complaints. I also don’t see a lot of bad reviews about the inclusions of the kit. Although I really appreciate it when a paddle board company always adds accessories that can make their product more versatile. For the Bluefin Aura Fit, it’s an activity, all-around, and a SUP kayak all at once.
Additionally, this paddle board is also highly recommended to and well-loved by paddling beginners. I’ve said this a dozen times already but because the Aura Fit is very stable, rigid, and wide, it makes it easier for those who are just starting out to balance in the water. They’ll also have trouble maneuvering this product so they’ll feel safe and comfortable while trying to learn the basics in paddle boarding.
Important Features
Moving on to the details of the design, this paddle board doesn’t have that annoying grip handle in the middle, which I really like, by the way! And I’m sure people in the SUP fitness community will appreciate it as well since it makes the board feel more comfortable especially during yoga, pilates, and more. And I haven’t even mentioned the smooth, gator skin deck pad that feels nice and grippy at the same time!
Speaking of the physical design, because the Bluefin Aura Fit has a round tail and a raised kick, I was able to maneuver the paddle board easily when I was testing it out for this review. Although I’m excited to see what else this SUP can offer in terms of my aqua fitness so I will definitely test it out some more when I get the time. 😉
Setup
- Includes 5 d-rings for accessories like dry bags and more
- 1000 Denier Exo Surface Laminate PVC
- Pro Weave Drop Stitch
- Lightweight and adjustable fibre-glass paddle
- Smartlock fin system
- Full deck and base print design
- 1 center fin with 2 smaller side fins
- Double action hand pump for easy inflation
Fins
The Bluefin Aura Fit has three fins. The first one is the center fin and the next ones are two side fins. The center fin has a smartlock system while the two smaller ones are both removable. All of these accessories help the tracking and the stability of the board. On top of that, these inclusions are really easy to set up!
Material
This board is made with 1000 Denier Exo Surface Laminate PVC that’s also UV protected. It’s also manufactured with a thermosealed croco-diamond deckpad and stitched together using a pro weave drop stitch technology. And the best thing about this design is the soft foam that is based off of the materials of yoga mats. These high quality materials put together make up a pretty strong and durable board suited for water-based exercises.
Inflate / deflate
The Bluefin Aura Fit paddle board comes with a dual action hand pump that’s slick and fits perfectly in the backpack. This single-chamber pump is not that difficult to use and can only take you up to 15 minutes to inflate the board. On the other hand, the deflating takes just a little bit longer than the usual SUP. That’s because it’s a wider type of paddle board.
Warranty
Another thing I like about Bluefin is the considerate time they give when it comes to warranties. For the Bluefin Aura Fit, it comes with a 5-year warranty, which is a standard now to all Bluefin boards purchased from September 2018 up to the present. And for a £449 paddle board, I think the 5-year warranty is a pretty sweet deal! It’s also better than the Bluefin Voyage’s 1-year warranty which is kinda short, if I may say so.
Design
I know we already discussed this at the start of this blog. But the board’s full deck and base print looks really cool and contributes to the zen feel of SUP yoga. But the overall technical design of the board is great as well. It’s made with really durable materials like ESL PVC and soft foam, as well as a great traction pad that’s not slippery. I also like that the handles are not in the middle of the board and that there’s an action mount where you can put your GoPro.
In the package
Paddle
The paddle included in the Bluefin Aura Fit’s package is a lightweight, adjustable one. In fact, it actually weighs 45% less than the normal paddles you’ll see in the market. It’s only about 33 ounces in total so you can just imagine that it feels comfortable to use in the water—even if you use it all day, your arms will take long till it gets tired.
This paddle is also made with high-quality fiber glass, but I still prefer the carbon version that Bluefin makes. I also really like how you can adjust it to become a kayak paddle when you turn your paddle board into a kayak using the seat.
Pump
When I received the Bluefin Aura package, I got a sleek, double-action pump with a single-chamber. As always, the pump inclusion in the kit is easy to use. However, since the Bluefin Aura is quite wide, I personally think it would be better if they include a dual-chamber pump instead since it would be a little faster.
But hey, if we’re going to use the board for fitness activities, might as well start your pre-workout with some SUP pumping session, am I right? 😂 Either way, the small and compact size of the pump is just perfect so you can fit it inside your SUP backpack.
Leash
Leashes are a great way to keep your paddle board next to you if you fall into the water while paddling. But it’s also just as important if you’re going to use the Bluefin Aura Fit for SUP yoga or pilates since you’ll never know when you’ll fall during complicated poses (But with Aura Fit’s stability, I kinda doubt it!)
The leash included in the packages is comfortable and it feels like it’s made with high-quality materials. Aside from that, the leash Aura Fit comes with is attached to one of the board’s d-rings so it’s really easy to install as well.
Backpack
To be honest with you, Bluefin backpacks are one of the best ones in the market. And I’m not just saying that because i’m a huge fan! For example, the backpack Bluefin Aura Fit comes with comfortable straps which are adjustable. It also has side pouches for easy board transport in short distances.
This backpack is definitely perfect for when you’re traveling long distances as well because it can fit all the accessories inside, including your deflated Bluefin Aura Fit board. The backpack has extra paddings as well so your items inside will be protected. Not to mention the cool, minimalist design with Bluefin’s color.

Difference Between an Inflatable board and a Hard Board
Advantages Inflatable board
- Easy to take on holiday (even on the plane)
- Easy to store in the winter days
- Much cheaper
- Technology has improved greatly over the past 10 years. For this reason, these boards are now almost hard to distinguish from hard boards
Advantages Hardboard
- More speed, which is important if you are a professional
- Easier to make sharp turns on the water because the board is thinner
- No inflation needed, you can get on the water right away

Short answer? Yes! Paddle boarding has been around for ages. But who ever thought of combining yoga with paddle boarding is—dare I say—quite the genius. You get the best of both worlds since you can work on your physical and mental wellbeing at the same time. Frankly, I think I should use my Bluefin Aura Fit more often for SUP yoga. 😅
But in my personal experience using the board so far, I thoroughly enjoyed using it as an all-around board, which means it’s really a very versatile SUP that can be used by anyone. In fact, I actually highly recommend this board to paddlers who are just starting out because it’s easy to balance and maneuver since it’s super wide and stable. Plus the traction pad offers a nice grip and the deck is very comfortable!
