Did You Know? Ken Discroll, a professional kayaker, decided to paddle in a 50-foot waterfall in 2008. To cut a long story short, he was injured and broke his back while doing so. It took him a long time to recover, and he eventually decided to stop kayaking due to his injury.
Ken went on to become a whitewater paddleboard pioneer, designing a new SUP board that is specifically optimized for Class V rapids and inventing a polymer coating.
He met new business partners in northern California and was inspired by Discroll’s traditional SUP DESIGNS, which led to the formation of the GLIDE, which has thrived since then.
The O2 Retro Paddleboard is Glide’s best-selling inflatable paddleboard! Because of its versatility and extra stability, this is an excellent SUP board in the All-Around category. It can be used to surf, paddle in flat water, and as a fitness paddleboard all at the same time.
