This board offers amazing value for money, and I can personally guarantee you that with this money, you will not be able to get a better board. Bluefin offers an amazing 5-year warranty on all of their boards! (only matched by Red Paddle). They also offer 1-year manufacturing warranty on the included accessories.
So it is clear that the company itself also has a lot of faith in the product and that they are willing to stand up for it. The quality of the board is so high they can afford to take the gamble, it will be hard to break this board during normal stand-up paddleboarding.

Speed on the water
The Bluefin Nitro 14′ offers exceptional speed and performance on the water. Its streamlined shape and efficient design allow it to glide through the water effortlessly, making it perfect for long-distance paddling or racing. Plus, its center-fin setup provides excellent tracking, allowing you to maintain control and balance even at high speeds.
Transport
The Bluefin Nitro 14′ is incredibly convenient and easy to carry. When deflated and packed away in its backpack, the board is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport in a car, on a plane, or foot. Additionally, the board features multiple handles for easy carrying, which is particularly helpful when moving it to and from the water.
Stability
Even though its 6-inch thickness provides a stable platform for riders of all skill levels, I have to say this is a board for experienced paddlers due to its 28-inch width. Thanks to its narrow body, this SUP is fast, but that does affect its stability up to a point, and unless you’re experienced, you will have some initial trouble adjusting to it. The deck pad provides excellent traction, preventing slippage and ensuring a secure grip while paddling.
My own experience
Let me tell you about my experience purchasing and trying out the Bluefin Nitro 14′ paddle board! It was honestly one of the best SUP adventures I’ve ever ventured on.
When I first ordered the board, I was impressed with the customer service from Bluefin. They were super helpful and responsive, answering all my questions and even offering some tips for getting the most out of my new board.
Once the board arrived, I was blown away by the quality and attention to detail.
The packaging was top-notch, and the included accessories (paddle, leash, pump, backpack, waterproof phone case) were all high-quality and easy to use.
Setting up the board was a breeze, and I had it inflated and ready to go in no time.
Now, I had read all the reviews and heard about the board’s impressive speed and performance, but I was still blown away by how sleek it was on the water. It was like riding a rocket! But despite the speed, the board felt stable and secure, and I had no trouble maintaining my balance or controlling my direction.
Note that this board is narrow with the intention to gain speed, so if you’re a complete beginner, it will take you some time to master balancing on it.
Another thing I appreciated about the Bluefin Nitro 14′ was how versatile it felt. It was equally at home on calm lakes and slow-moving rivers. It didn’t take me a huge amount of time to adjust to it. I felt confident and in control no matter where I was paddling.
I also loved the responsive handling of the board. It was easy to turn and maneuver, even in choppy or windy conditions.
The UV-resistant deck pad was super comfortable and provided excellent grip, even when the board was wet.
And when it was time to pack up and head home, the board deflated quickly and was easy to roll up and pack away in the backpack.
Overall, I am so thrilled with my Bluefin Nitro. It has exceeded my expectations in every way and has quickly become my go-to board when I’m tired of casual paddling. If you’re in the market for a high-performance paddle board, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
After I unpacked everything, I went on with inflating the Bluefin Cruise. It took me exactly 6.5 minutes to inflate this board to 18 PSI, which is really quick! I do have the video to prove it but I don’t reckon anyone is interested in a 9-minute video of me inflating a paddle board, so I will not bother you with that.
The Bluefin Nitro, although quite long, was easy to carry to the water.
The croco-diamond grip deck feels great, and I never felt like losing my grip while paddling. It does not only feel great, but it also looks really cool with the look of crocodile skin (hence the name).
The kick pad on the back allows you to lean back a bit and lift up the front to make those sharper turns. I did not fall in the water (surely I must be a pro), so I don’t know how this would be with a wet board, but I trust the grip would still be handy.

It is nice and challenging to paddle fast on this board, and I managed to build up quite a bit of speed by paddling hard. The size is perfect for speed, and the pointy front of the board helps to cut through the water quicker than with a rounded board. The single-fin system made sure I stayed in a straight line when paddling at higher speeds.
This is the best paddle board for experienced paddlers looking for speed and agility. I would recommend this board to anyone who wants to get started right away with a complete package. With the 5-year warranty, you can be sure you will not need to purchase more things anytime soon!
I am certain the very tough material will not break easily and you will use this board for the years to come. The thick layers of PVC and the side reinforcement prevent any damage when bumping into something. The board even has a UV-resistant coating, so it will not get damaged by the sun that quickly. If you need an all-around touring board instead and only want the best of the best you can check out the Bluefin Cruise Carbon, but if you are experienced and looking for a thrill on the water, the Bluefin Nitro will be the best value for money with its complete package!

Fins
The Bluefin Nitro 14′ features a single US race fin that’s optimized for speed and maneuverability. This setup provides better tracking and staying in line when paddling fast.
Material
The board is made out of 1000 Denier Exo Surface Laminate PVC & Pro Weave Drop Stitch. 11200 stitches of 500 denier space yarn per square meter make for one rigid board. The fact that this material can take up to 25 PSI inflation makes it clear that it is incredibly strong! The FRS carbon rails add extra stiffness and rigidity, ensuring the board performs well in a variety of conditions.
Inflate/deflate
The Bluefin Nitro 14 can be inflated to a maximum pressure of 25 PSI, making it extremely rigid and stable. The included pump makes it easy to inflate the board quickly, and the high-quality valve prevents air leaks during inflation and deflation. Despite the small size of the pump, it took me 6 minutes and 30 seconds to pump up the board.
Warranty
Bluefin offers an amazing 5-year warranty on the board and a 1-year warranty on the accessories (manufacturing warranty for accessories). You won’t possibly get this better anywhere.
Design
The board is light for its length and looks narrow and fast. When sailing it takes some getting used to when it comes to stability, compared to the Bluefin Rogue, which is a lot wider. However, with this board, you notice that they went a step further in their design which provides unmatched speed! The board glides easily through the water, and you find stability once you get used to it.
In the package
When unpacking the Bluefin Nitro, it felt like I was getting gifts over and over with all the included accessories, all of them of great quality. (Small note to Bluefin, your packing is a bit too amazing, tone it down on the plastic wrappings;-))
Paddle
The paddle consists of three parts. This is Bluefin’s NXT series, where the shaft is carbon fiber and is combined with a PVC blade. This combination makes it a nice sturdy paddle.
The handle comprises extra rubber for a good grip. The paddle is adjustable from 175cm to 210cm, and while this is great, I found the blade properly sized, but my girlfriend thought it was slightly oversized for her. So pay attention to those dimensions.
The T-bar handle of the normal SUP paddle has a very good ergonomic grip, so you hands will not start hurting when paddling. The shaft has a bit of a grainy texture for extra grip, which makes it very comfortable to paddle with this SUP paddle.

Triple-action Pump
The pump is easy to use. With the triple-action feature, you can pump the first part with sufficient volume, after which you can use the dial to adjust the pump to continue pumping.
The pump is on the smaller side, so it is possible that you get some back pain while pumping, depending on how tall you are. The footplate and handles can be disassembled for easier transport, but it’s worth mentioning that the pump does not fit into the backpack with the rest of the SUP package.
Leash
The Bluefin leash is a coiled leash, which is great because it only extends if you actually fall in the water. So it is never in your way when you are paddling. The leash can easily be connected to the D-ring on the back of the board.
The neoprene padding on the inside of the Velcro ankle attachment makes it feel comfortable around your ankle and will not start irritating.
Besides humans it also attaches perfectly to tree stumps as you can see, in case you want to go paddle boarding with Groot (sorry for the non-geeks who don’t get this one).

Backpack
The Bluefin paddle board backpack is very comfortable because of the extra back and strap padding on the extra wide straps. It has some handy outside pockets, and the zippers are webbing-reinforced. This can easily hold your Bluefin Nitro paddle board and all accessories.
You can also use this bag to pack stuff you want to take on your trip with the Bluefin Nitro. The bag fits under the front luggage cord, so you have a nice cargo holder right with you, and you do not need to worry about what to do with the bag.
You can turn the bag around and into the front pocket, which allows it to be transformed into a waterproof dry bag that you can take with you on the SUP to store things that absolutely shouldn’t be wet.
Unfortunately, the pump does not fit in the bag when it goes with you on the sup.

Fins
The Bluefin Nitro 14′ NXT SUP comes with a single US race fin that’s optimized for speed and maneuverability. It provides added stability and control.
However, the main purpose of the single-fin setup is to provide excellent tracking. With it, you stay in a straight line when paddling fast. And since this is a race board, you will love the speed of this sleek board.
Repair Kit
In case of any damage during paddling, the board also comes with a repair kit that includes everything you need to make minor repairs and get back out on the water quickly.
In the package, you will find white and blue PVC pieces and an extra screw for the large fin. Please remember to supply waterproof glue yourself because it is not included in the kit.
Waterproof Phone Case
The Bluefin Nitro 14′ NXT SUP also comes with a waterproof phone case, which keeps your phone dry and protected while you’re out on the water.
You can take pictures and capture video while paddling, and the transparent case allows you to use your phone’s touch screen and camera without removing it from the case.
