It is somehow similar to the 10’8” Cruise from Bluefin, except the G4 may be a little more maneuverable and has extra width for slightly more stability.
I noticed how stable it was right off the bat; it was a comfortable ride. Therefore, it can also be used for other SUP activities, such as fishing, fitness, or photography.
It also feels great to just stop and chill out while paddling on calm water. You can lay or sit comfortably and not feel like you’re going to roll over in the water.

Of course, don’t expect to show up to a SUP race and win with this board because you are not going to. But then again, this board is not built for speed. It has to sacrifice some of that for stability and maneuverability to make it an all-around board.

That means it has more stability than the former and more maneuverability than the latter. Thanks to the high weight capacity, more experienced paddle boarders can also enjoy this board and even take along their dog or friend.
Professional’s Experience
On the face of it, it all looks great, and the SUP is more than fine for someone who SUPs short bits every now and then, but for someone who wants to go on longer trips or is experienced, this SUP is just not it. At least not for this price. A lot of plastic has been used, which is not very reliable.
The SUP itself is hard to fit in the bag; the bag could have been slightly wider for this. This is a bit hard to roll/fold due to the carbon strips.
The side pockets for the paddle and pump are excellent, just like the 3 pockets in the bag for the fins and the large pocket on the front of the bag for the accessories.
The bag has a large zipper, so you can get the SUP in with all the accessories. It also has wheels, making it easy to transport. And the whole thing looks sleek and beautiful.
There’s also a fishing rod holder – at first, I did not know what the holder was for, so I had to google a bit. Not interesting for me; since I want to do SUP, not go fishing but for anyone that likes to fish, I think it’s a great extra.
However, although I don’t have experience in SUP fishing, I don’t think the SUP is stable enough to fish with. Also, because it is high on the water, it, therefore, catches a lot of wind, therefore you quickly drift off. Not useful while fishing, it seems to me.
I think this is a bit of a rickety plastic thing. When you have it mounted on the SUP, it remains wobbly.
In addition, it is surprising that a lamp set is included. Rechargeable via USB.
Unfortunately, this attachment leaves something to be desired; it would have been cool if you could screw these lights onto the SUP. You have to attach them with rubber rings to the iron rings of the rubber bands with the result that the lights lie on their back and shine upwards. But maybe I’m doing something wrong. Anyone else knows? Leave your experience in the comments below!
There’s also a 5-liter dry bag colored blue, but I do not see the added value of this one. Maybe you should put this bag in the 10-liter bag for the more fragile stuff? This drybag has no handle, and you can not attach it to the rubber bands on the SUP for extra safety.
In my opinion and from experience with SUPing with other boards, I would skip this drybag and put a phone case in its place. And also, a drybag 10- and 30-liter backpack is made from thick material and very handy. With a carrying strap. Since the SUP is so lightweight, it is wobbly. You rock over quickly. This is, therefore, a board for the more experienced SUPer or someone with a good balance.
It is very maneuverable because of its short length. However, you must continuously steer; you can not paddle straight ahead when you make a paddle stroke on 1 side. The board is surprisingly stiff and stable, really a plus for newbies.

- The NIXY Newport comes in 6 different colors; Fuchsia, Blue, Aqua, Exuma, Maui, and Baja. This is an excellent range here that’ll allow both male and female users to find something they like.
- The colored part of the board is the EVA traction pad. This pad is diamond grooved and machine pressed under 200 PSI to ensure it’s perfectly glued to the rest of the board. The best thing about it is that it covers most of the board’s back for better stability. It slides less and your feet are more comfortable.
- Then we have the front storage area with 4 D-rings and a bungee cord; this is where you’ll get to secure your cargo or any necessary equipment for your touring journey.
- Next, there are 2 D-rings on the board’s sides. These two are meant for kayak seat attachment, which goes hand in hand with touring.
- A 7th D-ring is on the board’s tail so that you can use the featured safety leash.
Fins
The Newport comes with 3 detachable fins, one of which is central and large (9 inches), and the other 2 are smaller and lateral (6 inches).
Material
The Newport is made using layers of liquid PVC material fused with the inner drop stitch core to reach just the perfect bond and solidness to create a firm board. The Newport’s body is reinforced using outer layer bands and airtight and waterproof seals to prevent leakage. Every part of this board is tightly pressed and laminated; it all seems like one neat and united piece.
Inflate / deflate
Pumping up to 15 PSI took just under 11 minutes. That is fast and is because it is a dual pump. To speed up the process, I recommend my absolute best OM Shark II electric pump. Deflating is just as easy – simply open the valve and let the air out.

The pump is very easy to use. It took just under 11 minutes to pump up to 15 PSI. That’s quick since it’s a double action pump. You can set it to inflate or deflate, which is easy to getting the SUP back into the supplied bag.
