Paddleboarding has been around for a long time. It’s actually been here since the early 1940s and dates back to as early as 3,000 B.C. But, with its ever-growing community, more and more paddleboard enthusiasts are joining the fun. This means paddle board companies have been trying their best to keep up when it comes to delivering the necessary equipment we need for our adventures.
That’s why over the past couple of years, we’ve been seeing more and more paddleboard manufacturers popping up—offering a better SUPing experience to people like me who are constantly looking for ways to step up my paddleboarding game. From small to multi-million dollar businesses, you can expect to see a lot of them, especially in Europe and in the US.
I guess it’s safe to say that even though this water sport has been around for quite a while, the paddleboarding industry is just getting started. And to be honest with you, seeing these latest innovations and newer technologies paddle board companies provide makes me very excited to see what’s next. After all, if you’ve been a reader of my blog before, you’ll know that there’s nothing more that makes me happy than trying out new paddleboards.
So, if you’re a paddleboard enthusiast like me or a SUP beginner wanting to see what’s in store, you came to the right place. In this article, we’ll talk about the different paddle board companies that have made their mark in the industry today and are constantly bringing paddleboards that change the game. I’ll even let you in on some of their products so you can check them out yourself.
Let’s get to it, shall we?

If you’ve been with me in my paddleboarding journey, you might remember that I’ve reviewed some of Bluefin SUP’s top paddleboards before, so I’m including them in my list of top paddle board companies (see my Bluefin Cruise article here). Bluefin SUP’s story began in 2010 when a family passionate about all things ocean decided to create a range of affordable inflatable paddle boards anyone can enjoy.
The company offers a wide selection of boards that can suit anyone, from SUP beginners to seasoned paddlers. I actually like that they can provide affordable boards and kits without compromising the price since they sell their products directly from the manufacturer so they can cut out middlemen to save on expenses.
Oh, and did I mention how Bluefin gives one of the best warranties in the market? Yup, they offer 5-year warranties for their products included in the Bluefin Range. Not many paddle board companies do this.
It’s one of the things I like about this brand because even though they sell boards with excellent quality, it’s nice to know that they got my back when something happens to my equipment. And lastly, one more great thing about Bluefin is that they provide complete packages so you don’t have to worry about buying add-on accessories since they’re all included in one kit.

Goosehill Paddle Boards is a relatively new brand, that has gathered a lot of customers throughout Amazon sales. This has built them quite a big fanbase in a very short time seeing the tons of positive reviews about Goosehill.
Because of the low purchase price of the Goosehill Paddle Boards and the very complete package this board comes with it is the most suitable board for beginners in Stand Up Paddle Boarding. This is why I have the Goosehill Sailor board as the top choice in my Best Cheap Paddle Board guide.
Currently, Goosehill Paddle Boards offers 5 different paddle boards that are suited for different purposes.

Now I don’t know about you, but most people don’t think about water sports gear when they hear the company name “BIC”. That’s because they’re not really known for making paddle boards. They are famous for their ballpoint pens that are being sold all over the world since the 1950s. But, that doesn’t mean they can’t start pursuing the SUP industry, right?
BIC Sports Company was actually founded in 1979 manufacturing surfboards and windsurfing gear. Then recently, they partnered up with Tahe Outdoors, a known water sports company, and came up with TAHE. Their new venture that was born from the combination of both paddle board companies developed a line of paddle boards perfect for every type of SUP rider. From rigid to inflatable, they have all your paddle board needs. Now they are one of the biggest paddle board companies out there.
Their products are mostly made in France so you can expect the highest quality craftsmanship.

Next on my list of paddle board companies is ROC SUP Co., a company that offers paddleboards made with advanced technology such as ultra reinforced composite drop stitch weave, UV resistant exterior coating, and military-grade PVC construction, unlike the other paddle board companies. If you look at their collection, you’ll see they provide a very wide range of boards with different designs and colors.
One of the things I commend about ROC is the high-quality build of their boards which is great for different paddle boarding adventures. Their boards are easy to use, stable, and affordable. They also constantly bring out new collections with better builds and better designs so they can keep up with the ever-growing change in the industry.
Aside from kits and boards, ROC also offers add-on accessories such as replacement fins, electric air pumps, adjustable paddles, kayak seats, and more.

This one is for my readers from the US. For those of you who live close to San Diego, you might want to check our Isle Surf and SUP Company. They have a retail store in the city and a 15,000-foot distribution center. But don’t worry, this paddle board company still offers and ships their products to 48 states and of course, all around the world.
Isle Surf and SUP Company – San Diego Retail Shop:
The business was started in a storage unit in 2004 by two San Diego surfers who just came out of the university. Now, Isle Surf provides a variety of boards that are intended to fit a lot of people’s preferences, skill level, riding style, and interest.
They stand by their three words: surf, paddle, and explore… which I love. This company is also persuading other people to be healthy and to have a balanced mind, body, and soul through SUPing.
