My own experience
Built to slice through the waves like a shark’s fin, the Nixy Manhattan G4 performance SUP ranks among the top SUP you can buy if what you’re looking for is speed. Thanks to its thinner profile, which does require a little more skills or experience on behalf of the rider, this board will have you feel like flying on the water on your way to different adventures and unforgettable moments in nature with just a few strokes of your paddle.
Again, the board is really great. But you have to have some excellent skills to keep yourself on top of the water.
The Manhattan is for those who need speed and believe me, it does not disappoint.
This board glides with grace and power providing an excellent paddling experience. It has a great overall build quality and finish and really looks top-notch and well made. This board has a class-leading. It is fast, tracks well, and is fun on the water!
It definitely takes more focus to paddle, but it feels incredible. I much desire to use it in calm water but was pleasantly surprised how well I could maneuver my way through some chop as well.
Once you find your balance and get warmed up, it is easy to lose yourself in the repetitious motion of your constant paddle strokes as you swiftly glide through the water.
It is an extra good feeling with a good performance board like the NIXY Manhattan because you know the board is efficiently working with you instead of against you. The result is a thrilling ride that will challenge you in all the right ways.

Nixy Manhattan G4 Important Features
NIXY featured all of their SUPs with every SUP related feature for everyone to enjoy an exciting full paddling experience, and of course, the most prominent feature about the Manhattan:
Setup
- An additional D-ring for safety leash attachment is also found on the board’s tail.
- The traction pad is an EVA diamond grooved pad that was machine pressed to the board, literally reinforcing its body. It’s completely glued, so it does not lose shape or come off the board’s back as it nearly covers all of it.
- It also features a front storage area with 4 D-rings and a bungee cord and comes in handy when you need to secure your paddle for a break.
- The navigation system is similar to the one you might find on racing SUP’s. The Manhattan is featured with a single large fin that requires no tools to be attached/detached.
- This board comes in 2 different colors, red and blue, and both look super sharp and sporty.
- Since this board is meant for long-distance touring, kayak mode is highly recommended. To enjoy that, you will find 2 side D-rings to attach a kayak seat.

Material

Inflate / deflate

Once finished, store your paddleboard in a cool, dry place until you can use it again.

They get you on the price of an electric pump for it, though, but it’s worth it considering it is hard to pump up a board no matter how good of a manual pump you have. My only complaint is that they send a “atch kit” with it that has a tool for the pump attachment if it should break and an actual piece of material to use as a patch for the board itself, but no adhesive to actually affix it with… nor are there any instructions on what type of adhesive you would need to go find on your own, or how to even do it should you find the right stuff. “conducted extensive research before buying the Manhattan. Everything is as advertised. The previous review is spot on. I opted for the electric pump which easily completed the task of inflation after about 9 minutes of using the well built hand pump…total time 16 minutes. I have about 20 rides on my Manhattan which I kept inflated over a month’s time with temperatures ranging from freezing to 65 degrees and there was no loss of pressure over that time period. I compared overall performance in high winds and chop to perfect conditions and found no meaningful difference when compared to my 14 foot Downwinder. This board is stable and fast! The backpack is simply awesome. I now have the means to pack it in to the Alpine lakes where a much heavier and awkward damage prone straight board will never go. It stores neatly in the back of my Subaru allowing me that impulsive after work trip to the lake when I need an SUP fix. The company owner is highly responsive to emails and seemed invested in my satisfaction with his product. This is the best major purchase I’ve made on Amazon.”

“Im impressed! The SUP was shipped quickly and arrived on time. Packaging was excellent (double-boxed) and protected the contents. The SUP itself was safe and secure in the backpack, with shrink wrap and foam offering extra protection. Instructions are simple and clear. The paddle is intuitive and of reasonably good quality for a kit paddle; minimal wiggle and not sloppy, not overly heavy and seems well made. The leash is much nicer than I expected for a kit. Thumbs up! The backpack is also well made and obviously well thought-out. Grab handles are well positioned, workmanship looks good, the wheels appear to be of good quality, zippers work well and seem fairly tough. I really like the large pocket on the front, and the pocket on each side. IIt’salso oversized so you can easily stuff extra gear in. The pump is considerably better than anticipated.
