The Outdoor Master brand is well-known for its various outdoor gears. This is a well-known brand that typically sells goggles, helmets, and other sports equipment. I had never heard of this brand until I came across the Outdoor Master Shark II, an electric SUP pump that I purchased and reviewed because it is by far the best option for a convenient and efficient electric SUP pump!

In 2021, The Outdoor Master also released a new SUP board collection. On their launch, they released eight paddleboards, which I believe is quite a number! Let’s give their Paddleboard Collection a review!

I’ll be reviewing the Violet Spirit Paddleboard by Outdoor Master, which is an All-Around paddleboard and part of the Chasing Blue Spirit series. This paddle board is ideal for beginners or those who are looking for an entry-level SUP. The Violet Spirit Paddle Board will provide you with a comfortable and easy ride because it provides consistent traction to all riders, whether novice or expert.

Their paddleboard is also durable and safe to use on the water, as it is made with the most up-to-date drop-stitch materials, which allow for even lighter and more durable SUP boards with excellent anti-deformation and wear resistance. It’s the perfect combination of performance, quality, and weight.

What Makes The Violet Spirit Paddle Board Stand Out

The Violet Spirit Paddleboard is 10’6″ long and 32″ wide. You’ll never have to worry about the durability of this paddleboard because it was built with the latest drop-stitch construction, making it a rigid and safe-to-use SUP board!

The maximum capacity of this paddleboard is 280 lbs, and it comes with a two-year warranty. The Violet Spirit Paddleboard, when compared to other chasing blue spirits SUPs, will provide less stability, especially if larger riders use it.

This paddleboard is also a budget-friendly SUP that anyone who wants to practice paddling can get because it is inexpensive and has all of the features that a beginner needs.

The Violet Spirit Paddle Board is best suited for small riders or older children weighing under 20 pounds. It comes with all of the necessary accessories for a beginner paddler.

Speed on the water
With the Violet Spirit paddleboard, don’t expect a lot of speed. The Violet Spirit has a slower speed than other chasing blue SUPs, but it still glides well out on the water. With the three-fin setup, you can add thrust to move faster through waves and navigate better on flat water.

Transport
The paddleboard weighs 20 pounds, making it easy to transport. It also has a carry handle for added comfort when transporting or carrying out on the water. With a foam core, the Violet Spirit paddleboard will give you a firm grip while carrying your board. In regards to the SUP backpack, I simply do not believe the material used is of high quality! It is, however, a wheeled bag that is easier to transport and even travel with!

Stability
The Violet Spirit is less stable in the water than the Solar Spirit. As previously stated, this paddleboard is best suited for small riders or older children who weigh less than the paddleboard’s maximum capacity to provide you with good water stability. When looking for a stable paddleboard, the thickness of the SUP board should be taken into account. A stable inflatable paddleboard has a thickness of 6″, whereas the Violet spirit paddleboard only has a thickness of 4.7″, which explains the lack of stability.

My own experience

In terms of appearance, the Violet Spirit Paddleboard has a simple design in violet color, according to my personal experience. When I tried out this All-Around paddleboard in the water, I expected it to be stable and fast. It glides well, but compared to all of the other cheap paddleboards I’ve tried, I’m guessing this SUP board will provide you with less speed and stability.

However, I would still recommend this for kids and older children who weigh less than the board’s maximum capacity and want to enjoy the features.

With a wide-shaped body and pointed nose, this paddleboard can adapt to any water condition while still providing the stability you need against the perfect waves for all levels of paddlers. When I tested the Violet Spirit paddleboard in the water, it felt durable and did not bend at the same time.

Because of the latest drop-stitch construction, the paddleboard is both rigid and durable. The grooves made standing more comfortable, and the rhombus grids added extra grip and traction.

I’d also like to point out that, despite being a budget paddleboard, they’ve included two bungee storage areas and 18 multifunctional D-RINGS for any additional accessories or converting the board into a kayak seat.

The Violet Spirit has seven handles–four safety handles and three grab handles–that make it simple to carry. There are three fins on this inflatable paddleboard: one large center fin and two side fins.

Every time you want to paddle, you’ll have a smooth and relaxing ride thanks to the soft and mixed-shaped EVA pad. Because of the comfort it provides, you can even use your knees with the Violet Spirit Paddleboard.

This paddleboard’s inflating valve is double-secured with a spring control. The maximum pressure is 15 psi, and this will release some air automatically to maintain stable air pressure.

It comes with the necessary accessories you’ll need as a beginner, which is a plus considering it’s a low-cost paddleboard. This is an excellent entry-level board for a beginner who wants to practice paddling without spending too much money! There’s also a two-year warranty included. They also have excellent customer service in case you require assistance with your paddleboard problems

Setup

• The innovative, detachable flat bungee strap is much more supple and resilient than standard, thinner threads.
• Beginners can mount the board more easily and safely thanks to the four grab handles on both ends.
• The carry handle is designed to provide extra comfort while carrying your foam-cored board, as well as a firm grip.
• There are 18 stainless steel D-Rings on the side of the board for a variety of uses, including kayak seat mounting, coil leash binding, and so on.
•  For added carrying capacity, the board tail features a detachable 6-point bungee cargo system.
• For increased safety, a double-secured inflating valve with spring control is used, with one simple push for automatic deflation.

The Violet Spirit Paddleboard comes with a two-year warranty and some essential paddling accessories. This SUP board is a great paddleboard for beginners and those on a budget. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option with a two-year warranty. You can also rest assured that their customer service will provide you with the assistance you require.

Design
The Violet Spirit paddleboard has a simple design compared to other paddleboards. This affordable and beginner-friendly paddleboard might be a great option for those who like violet color! This all-around paddleboard was created with surfing in mind. This isn’t the fastest SUP board you’ll find, but with the help of the three-fin setup, you’ll be able to move it faster on waves and navigate better on flat water.

In The Package: What’s in the box

Paddle

The Violet Spirit Paddleboard comes with a floatable paddle that weighs only 28 oz. In comparison to the previous version, which was a fiberglass paddle, this one is lighter and more durable. The SUP paddle can be adjusted from 72 to 86 inches in length and collapses to 35 inches in length, allowing it to float!

Wheeled Travel Backpack

The Violet Spirit paddleboard comes with a wheeled backpack to make transporting the SUP board easier. A heat-insulated material is used in the premium master bag. Because it has multiple compartments, you can carry all of your SUP accessories as well as some personal items. However, having owned other SUP boards, I believe the backpack does not have the best and most high-quality SUP backpack.

Pump

The Violet Spirit Paddleboard comes with a dual-action pump that inflates your board quickly and easily. The maximum air pressure recommended for this SUP board is 12-15 PSI. When you first inflate the board, you’ll use the dual-action pump, but once you’ve reached maximum air pressure, you can easily switch to the single-action pump. When you pump the Violet Spirit Paddleboard pump to 15 PSI, an upgraded valve automatically releases the extra air.

Repair Kit

It’s great to know that this inexpensive paddleboard comes with a repair kit in case the Violet Spirit paddleboard is damaged. White PVC patches, 30 grams of glue, and a valve wrench PVC patch are included in the repair kit. The leaking valve can be easily repaired with the spanner, and minor holes and tears can be repaired with PVC patch glue. It’s always a good idea to have a repair kit on hand.

Action Mount

Three action mounts are included with the Violet Spirit paddleboard. You can glue them wherever you want and use them to mount other accessories like your GoPro, camera sticks, and other gear that you think will help you have more fun while paddling out on the water.

Conclusion | Final Thoughts on Violet Spirit Paddle Board

The Violet Spirit paddleboard is a nice budget-friendly and beginner-friendly paddleboard that you can consider if you’re on a budget. It may not be the fastest SUP board you’ll ever have, but considering that it still has paddleboard features, it could be a good choice. This is a lighter, shorter version of the solar spirit that is also suitable for children. What I liked about the Violet Spirit paddleboard is that it has a lot of storage space for your personal belongings in case you want to bring some personal items out on the water with you.

In comparison to the Solar Spirit, I find this board to be easier to maneuver. With 18 D-Rings in total, you can attach whatever accessories you want to make your paddling experience more enjoyable. I also liked that they included an Action Mount in their package, which you can simply glue and place wherever you want! The dual-action hand pump that comes with the SUP is simple to use, and the dual-function switch makes it easy to get the last few PSI into the SUP with the least amount of effort. 12 PSI is the recommended operating pressure for the Violet Spirit. It also has a fantastic over-inflation valve that will release if the pressure rises above 15 PSI.

It will also not be difficult for you to carry this paddleboard because it has numerous handles to make carrying and transportation easier. It has grab handles built into the bungees in case you want to bring your child along.

Overall, it’s a good SUP board to start with because it comes with all of the necessary accessories to get you paddling. Other reviewers have stated that their customer service is excellent, which is a plus in assisting if any issues arise. If you want to introduce your kids to paddling, this is a great option that comes at a reasonable price and does not compromise the quality of the materials used in the paddleboard.
