De Aqua Marina Magma is een ongelooflijk leuk board om het water mee op te gaan. Een populair all-around board met een opvallende oranje kleur dat veelzijdig is, een geweldig ontwerp heeft en een compleet pakket heeft.

Meest geschikt voor:

Het eerste wat ik moet onthullen is dat de verschillende Aqua Marina All-Around Stand Up Paddle Boards op elkaar lijken. Je hebt misschien gemerkt dat ik de volgende vier boards heb beoordeeld:

• Aqua Marina Magma
• Aqua Marina Atlas
• Aqua Marina Triton
• Aqua Marina Beast

Deze boards lijken veel op elkaar omdat ze allemaal in dezelfde serie zitten. De Atlas is een langer toerboard dan de andere 3, dus het is duidelijk dat dit een speciale categorie is. Maar wat is het verschil tussen de Aqua Marina Magma, de Aqua Marina Triton en de Aqua Marina Beast?

Niet echt veel, het is vooral het ontwerp en de 6″ lengte die hen scheidt:

The maximum weight varies from 308 lbs to 330 lbs and the width, thickness, technology, package and air pressure of these boards are all the same.

The Triton is more into the touring side of Stand Up Paddle boards and the Beast is a bit more suited for catching waves. The Magma is the middle board of this again. But honestly will this 6″ of length make such a huge difference? To me it did not feel like it.

If you are looking for any of these 3 boards, I would recommend you to just take the cheapest one because they are so similar to each other. Unless you really prefer one design over the others.

Lets move on with the actual review of the Aqua Marina Magma now!

The Aqua Marina Magma is an all-around inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board with a size of 11’2″ x 33″ and a thickness of 6″ that performs well on the water and is very stiff.

This board has a weight of 20.9 lbs and a maximum carrying capacity of 330 lbs. So it is possible to carry along a pet or child if you wish so, depending on the goal of your trip.

As said this is really an in between board, so as all-around as possible to accommodate a wide spectrum of activities. (I almost feel smart using words like that!).

I liked this board for paddling around while relaxing along the shore on my holiday. It is easier to make turns because of the kick pad. You can lean back, lift the front up a bit and make a quick turn.

Snelheid op het water
Het board is vrij lang, maar ook breed. Perfect voor kleine toertochten en het vangen van golven, maar niet geschikt voor wedstrijden.

Transport
Het is heel gemakkelijk om deze SUP te vervoeren omdat hij opblaasbaar en licht is. Zelfs op je rug als je met de fiets gaat.

Stabiliteit
Het board is stabiel op het water en het gewichtscapaciteit van 330 lbs is zelfs genoeg om een huisdier of een kind mee te nemen.

Mijn eigen ervaring

I like the Aqua Marina Magma the same way I like the Triton and the Beast, great for just paddling around and a very stiff board. They perform better than the cheaper versions, the Breeze/Vapor/Fusion and have the added kick pad for easier turning.

Like I mentioned in a different review I prefer the Aqua Marina Atlas as it is bigger and it enables me to take along
